Free Pre-application Advice
Many local planning authorities across the country have reviewed the way in which they provide advice to those interested in bringing a site forward for development. Most local authorities charge a fee in order for them to consider initial/emerging proposals.
The planning and development hub will provide you with some initial thoughts on the likelihood of your ideas being supported at planning application stage. We will be able to outline to you the risks and opportunities of taking forward a formal planning application. Our service is free of charge at first point of contact, and we would be able to provide succinct advice based on interpretation of national and local planning policy, and the constraints and opportunities that a site may offer.
In the event that you would wish to move proposals forward, we can manage the approach to the local planning authority on your behalf, focusing on the key material considerations that have to be taken into account in the determination of a planning application. Where appropriate, we will undertake planning policy research on your proposals prior to making any formal pre-application submission to assist us in justifying your proposal. We will also provide guidance on any other relevant material considerations which we feel may contribute towards a stronger planning application.
